These A grade 2 ply veneer faces have been machine spliced and book matched for pleasing effect.  The face veneer is approximately 1/32" thick.  The backer veneer is approximately 1/32" thick.  The overall thickness is approximately 1/16" thick.  The backer veneer adds strength and stability and assures perfect flatness.  The additional thickness reduces 'telegraphing" of defects from the veneered surface to the veneer itself.  It Also resists bleed through of lacquer and other finishes to the glue layer.

Grain Direction:  The grain direction is with the long dimension.
