These 2 Ply butt matched Mahogany Crotch veneer faces are made using 2 sheets of approximately 1/32" thick Mahogany Crotch veneer matched and joined end to end.  The Mahogany Crotch face is glued to an approximately 1/32" thick backer veneer.  The overall thickness is approximately 1/16".  The veneer backing add strength and stability and assures perfect flatness.

Grain direction:  The grain direction (the direction of the plumes) goes outward from the center butt joint in both dirrections along the length.
