These 2 ply butt matched Mahogaany Crotch Faces consist of 2 sheets of approximately 1/32" thick Mahogany Crotch veneers matched and joined end to end.  The Mahogany Crotch face is glued to an approximately 1/32" thick backing veneer.  The overall thickness is approximately 1/16". The veneer backing adds strength and assures perfect flatness.

Grain direction: The grain (the direction of the plumes) goes outward from the center butt joint in both directions along the length.
