These 2 Ply book matched Mahogany Crotch veneer faces consist of 2 matching sheets of Mahogany Crotch veneer that are joined side by side and glued to a wood veneer backing.  The Mahogany Crotch veneer and the backing veneer are each  approximately 1/32" thick.  The overall thickness is approximately 1/16".  The backing veneer adds strength and assures perfect flatness.

Grain direction:  The grain direction (direction of the plumes) is always with the long dimension.

Exception:  The 8" x 28" and the 10" x 40" faces are made using 4 matching sheets of Mahogany Crotch veneer.  The 10" x 20" face is made with 2 matching sheets. The grain direction (direction of the plumes) on these sheets is with the short dimension.
